Music Through Heartsons Review

How would you rate the Music Through Heartsongs album on a scale of 1-5 stars (1 being the worse, 5 being the best)?

Ok guys...don't kill me. But I'm about to give an honest review of the album straight from my own opinion only.

I think the message of the album is beautiful. Had it not have been for this album, I never would've gotten so into Mattie's poetry nor would I have grown to care so much about the MDA. So I give the album full credit for that. Additionally, Billy's voice sounds amazing, especially to be in the midst of a change.

The downside to the album.... since Mattie's poems are predominantly written in free verse and some were written when he as younger, some of the lyrics get a little repetitive. Also, I think the music is "weird". It's pretty far from anything mainstream you'll ever hear. It almost sounds newage.

But overall, it was an OK album. So I gave it 3 stars.

I also say a 3. Great message but the music is too out there for me.

I personally love this cd. I've gone through a lot with it. I personally think it's one of the best albums ever recorded, but this is just my opinion.
So for me, I'd give it a 5 and beyond.
